Fountain Insurance Brokers Limited was incorporated on 30th October 1989 as a private unlimited liability company. The company was subsequently registered as insurance/reinsurance brokers, life and pensions consultants.

The company is owned by British and Nigerian investors who are all insurance professionals and have practiced insurance broking in all its ramifications over the last three decades, both nationally and internationally, including Lloyd’s of London. They are all fully involved in the day-to-day operations of the company.

The company has been recapitalized to N120,000,000.00, appearing over and above the minimum paid-up share capital statutorily required of insurance firms in Nigeria under the Insurance Decree No 2 of 1997. This capitalization enabled the company to upgrade its head office and open offices in Kano, Abuja, Port Harcourt, and Ibadan. These offices are equipped with modern equipment to facilitate speedy delivery of qualitative service to clients.

In the local insurance market, the owners are reputed for expertise in the development of new insurance products, risk management program design, and packaging tailor-made insurance policies for large and medium-scale manufacturing, construction, and commercial risks. Through their technical partner, Rickard Lazenby International Co. Limited, they have access to international insurance markets including Lloyd’s of London for risk placements.
